New releases for sale Monday!

We’ve got a few pre-orders coming up and I wanted to make sure you guys know what’s going on. So, I’ll get right to it:

Pre-orders for John Nolan – The Acoustic Sessions (CCR-005) this Monday, August 27th at 10 AM EST!

Originally recorded as bonus tracks to accompany the release of "Height" and never officially released to the public, The Acoustic Sessions offers eight cuts of Nolan with not much more than a guitar and a keyboard. Its sparse arrangements highlight Nolan's introspective lyrics, catchy melodies and distinct vocal style, succeeding in its goal of breathing new life into familiar songs. This record is essential for fans of Nolan's work both past and present. Each order will come with a digital download of the album. You can pick up a copy here.
The pressing info is below:
Half Green, Half Peach (/100)
Peach (/150)
Green (/250)
Also available for this release are one-of-a-kind test presses. Each test is accompanied by a jacket hand drawn by LP design artist Jeff Versoi. Blending ideas submitted by fans with his own style, each jacket promises to be something special. Only FIFTEEN of these test presses exist.

Also available 8/27 – (CCR-004) They've Shot Flanigan – The Outlaw

Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, They’ve Shot Flanigan are quickly becoming one of my favorite new bands.  This pressing is limited to 500 copies, and is a co-release with Collective Confusion Records and Enjoy The Ride Records.

You can listen to the record in it’s entirety here. I highly recommend checking them out, and then, of course, picking up a copy! No, seriously, listen to this record. It's awesome.
Collective Confusion will have the "Tavern Floor" variant (Opaque brown with a Blood Red center), limited to 125 copies and available exclusively through the Collective Confusion Records store. Full pressing info is below. You can pick up the CCR variant here.
Pressing info:
Tavern Floor - Collective Confusion exclusive. Limited to 125 copies.
California Gold And Texas Oil - Enjoy The Ride/Hot Topic exclusive. Limited to 125 copies.
Barrel Smoke - They’ve Shot Flanigan web/show exclusive. Limited to 200 copies.

Pre-order Northstar – Is This Thing Loaded? LP out on Triple Crown Records 9/4!

There is a good chance if you’re reading this you are a Nick Torres fan. So, in a heartwarming gesture of indie label brotherhood, I’ve teamed up our friends at Triple Crown Records to make you guys aware of the vinyl release of Northstar’s Is This Thing Loaded? Pre-order it now! This LP is pressed on half green/half white vinyl (great minds think alike), and limited to 300 copies. This is obviously a must-own for fans of Cassino and Northstar, so pick up a copy directly from Triple Crown here. On a personal note, I can safely say I wouldn't be writing this email to you if it wasn't for this record. So buy it.

Well, now you're all caught up with the Collective Confusion world. Feel free to spread the word to your friends, families, dogs and co-workers. If you haven't yet, like us on Facebook and follow me on Twitter here (vain, I know). Thanks again for supporting Collective Confusion, and I hope you all pick up something this Monday!

Tuesday Night Update

Here comes a brand new Cassino (hey, you should listen to it here) update! First of all thank you for the support, the response to this release has been overwhelming, and for a guy who runs a label at night out of his bedroom I could not be happier to get this on vinyl and into your hands. I want you to know that everything is right on schedule!

Now for the details... as you probably know, these sold out pretty quick. We ran into a small speed bump when tracking orders and ended up actually overselling by a few copies. In lieu of cancelling these orders, a third "Secret Variant" is being pressed to make up the difference.

This variant will be limited to fifty copies, pressed on black vinyl, but will have a unique jacket. I really let Patrick from A City Inside run wild with this one, and you guys are going to love how they come out. This Secret Variant is going to go into random orders, replacing the variant (or one of the variants) you ordered. The band will also have a handful of these to sell at shows down in Nashville. Outside of this drawing and random Nashville shows, these will never be available for sale.

I realize some of you may not want a shot at the Secret Variant, so if you don't, just reply to this email and I'll make sure you get your record exactly as ordered.

On to the next order of business... your digital downloads. To hold you guys over while you wait for your vinyl, here is a link to download the vinyl remastered MP3's of Kingprince (as well as a bonus download of The Weight Of Bother). There's an honor system limit of one download per email address for these links, so please stick to it! If you download more than once, someone else will lose out on their copy. I hope you guys like the remastering.. and trust me it sounds even better on wax.

Kingprince (Vinyl Remaster): (redacted - if you ordered check your email)

The Weight Of Bother: (redacted - if you ordered check your email)

Last but not least, we come to the release date. While I plan on having everything ready to go within the next two weeks or so, the "official" release for this record will be on July 10th. I am planning on getting you guys your records earlier than that - but since I work full-time and have to pack each of these myself by hand, I think it's best to give myself a little bit of breathing room. Hopefully that's not a big inconvenience to you guys - if it is, let me know.

Thanks again for your order - I've got a big year planned, so hopefully you'll stick around! Email me with any questions, comments or concerns.

There are a handful of black copies still available for purchase, but they're going fast, so if you want a one be sure to pick it up soon! Here is the link again.

Thank you again everyone - we (obviously) could not do this without your support.

- Mike
